CLCF researchers were once again active at the 2025 Association of Internet Researchers (AoIR) conference, held in Niterói, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 15–18 October. Hosted by the Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF) at the Campus Gragoatá, this year’s event was particularly impactful as it was the conference’s first time in the Global South.

CLCF’s presence included a preconference session, a lively gathering at Calma Bar, three panel proposals, and four individual paper presentations. Read more below and browse our image gallery to see highlights from the week!

Catch us next at the GenAI & Creative Practices conference in Amsterdam this December, or at AoIR 2026 in Mexico City!
